Dubai news source Emirates 24|7 has revealed the nationalities purchasing the most property in the emirate, from figures provided by Dubai Land Department (DLD).

Indians top the list, investing Dh18.123billion in 2014, up from Dh18 billion in 2013. Investors from the UK were behind transactions totalling Dh9.318billion last year (down from Dh10.4 billion in 2013), putting them is second place. Pakistanis are third on the list, purchasing real estate worth Dh7.588billion in 2014 (a fall from Dh8.6billion in 2013). Iranians and Canadians invested Dh4.5billion and Dh3.157billion respectively in the year to December 2014.

The total value of non-Arab investment in the real estate market in Dubai was Dh64billion compared to over Dh69 billion in 2013. Citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council states bought property worth Dh32billion last year.

More than 140 nationalities invested in the property market in Dubai in 2014, with total real estate transactions amounting to Dh218billion.
