Spain has been named the world’s friendliest country for tourists in the biannual World Economic Forum The Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Report 2015. The report praises the country for its “outstanding attractions”, “excellent” culture, entertainment and infrastructure.

The country had over 60million arrivals in 2013, making it the third most-visited country in the world, and its appeal has stretched from its established European audience as far afield China, Brazil and Mexico. For those with holiday homes in Spain to rent out, this increasing audience is welcome news.

The top ten tourist destinations according to The Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Report 2015 are:

  1. Spain
  2. France
  3. Germany
  4. US
  5. UK
