The expectations of UK owners of Italian properties looking to maximise their rental income have been raised with the announcement of a number of new domestic and international air services.

Estonian Air has just entered the Italian market for the first time with a twice-weekly Tallinn-Milan (Malpensa) service, departing Tuesdays and Sundays). The route will be open until the beginning of November.

Turkish Airlines has added Bari to its roster of Italian destinations. The Puglian port is the 10th Italian city on the airline’s list, following Rome, Venice, Milan, Turin, Naples, Bologna, Genoa, Catania and Pisa. The Bari flights will operate four times a week.

Air Vallée has annonced new internal Italian flights which it plans to roll out during the course of this summer. The Brindisi-Catania flights have already started, with Bari-Naples and Naples-Ancona following on 2 June 2 and Brindisi-Zakinthos starting on 18 July.

Cambridge International Airport has started seat-only fares on its direct flights to Verona this summer, after the success of package holidays to the Italian Lakes. The seat-only options start this month and cost £299 return, initially running every Saturday.
